Sean “Diddy” Combs Sent to Prison: 50 Months for Prostitution Conviction

Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced today to 50 months, or just over four years, in federal prison on two prostitution-related counts. He was also fined $500,000 and ordered to serve five years of supervised release.

The conviction stems from arranging for male escorts to cross state lines and engage in drug-fueled sexual encounters with his former girlfriends, which he recorded. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.

In court, Combs expressed regret, telling the judge he had “lost my way” and asking for leniency. Several of his children spoke in his favor. Prosecutors had sought more than 11 years, while his defense argued for time served. He has already spent about a year in custody, which will count toward his sentence.
