Sean “Diddy” Combs Reportedly Seeks Role as Domestic Violence Counselor in Sentencing Bid

Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly is seeking to take on a role as a domestic abuse counselor as part of his defense strategy ahead of sentencing. The music mogul, 55, is proposing a rehabilitation-focused path that would involve working with domestic violence programs and speaking publicly to discourage abuse. His legal team is expected to present the plan as evidence of personal growth and as a way for him to contribute positively to the community.

Combs was convicted in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of more severe charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, but still faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for October 3 in Manhattan.

The proposal outlines plans for Combs to participate in counseling and advocacy programs aimed at preventing domestic violence. It also includes his continued involvement in therapy and self-help programs, such as those designed to address sexual assault prevention and substance abuse. Supporters of the plan argue that these efforts demonstrate his potential to make a meaningful contribution outside of prison.

The court will weigh these proposals alongside other sentencing considerations before Judge Arun Subramanian determines the outcome.
