Trump Polling on the Wane

Los Angeles, California USA – May 30, 2015: Donald Trump's Hollywood Star on the Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Walk of Fame consists of more than 2,400 five-pointed brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along fifteen blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The stars are permanent public monuments to achievement in the entertainment industry, bearing the names of a mix of actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, fictional characters, and others. The Walk of Fame receives 10 million visitors annually.

Donald Trump’s star is losing some of its luster, and I, for one, couldn’t be happier. According to a new poll commissioned by NBC (conducted by Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates and Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies), Trump’s approval numbers have dropped two points from 36% to 34%, the Orange Buffoon’s lowest numbers over the last 12 months. Granted, the difference is only two points, but taking into account that same poll’s numbers for President Joe Biden, Trump’s drop is nevertheless significant. Biden’s positive rating has risen by three points, the best it has been since this month a year ago. what do these numbers portend for the upcoming midterms? Well, at this point? Your guess is as good as mine — or anyone’s, it would seem. The poll doesn’t offer us much guidance on the matter: Respondents are evenly divided as to which party they’d like to see control Congress — 46% to 46%. Respondents indicate they consider Republicans betters poised to handle the economy and inflation. but they like the Democrat’s stance on the climate and abortion. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that that Dems will contine to hold onto both chambers of Congress after November.
