The late Carrie Fisher, beloved by fans for four decades as the Star Wars heroine Princess Leia, was honored at a ceremony held at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre this week, led by her brother Todd. The event came just prior to the opening of the latest installment in the franchise, The Last Jedi. A plaque affixed to the building in her memory reads, “We love you, Carrie.”
The first film in the long-running saga, Star Wars, opened at the same theatre in 1977. Fisher completed filming her scenes for this latest sequel prior to her death last year on December 27.
