Emerging rap star Lil Peep has died in Tuscon, Arizona. The rapper was taken to the hospital following an apparent overdose, according to a report in The Guardian quoting Lil Peep’s music associate, Adam Grandmaison. Peep’s manager is said to have announced the musician’s passing on his Twitter account. Variety confirmed the news after speaking to Sarah Stennet, CEO of First Access Entertainment. The young musician was only 21 and had just begun to establish himself in the music industry.
Born Gustav Ahr, Peep spent his formative years in Long Beach, New York. He first gained attention posting videos on YouTube. He released his first full-length album, Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt.1, this past August.
