David Letterman’s new Netflix program has landed former president Barack Obama as his first guest, according to a news release from the popular subscription service.
This foray into another talk format by Letterman is his first since leaving his late night CBS show in 2015. The program, which will be added to the Netflix line up once a month, is called My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. The format is one hour spent on a single guest, with sections shot both inside and outside the studion. In addition, Letterman will provide in-depth features related to the guest which he will produce.
Producers behind the show include Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Incorporated and Radical Media. The series is set to launch January 12.
