Conde Nast Names New Editor for Vanity Fair succeeding longtime chief Graydon Carter

Conde Nast has settled on a new editor-in-chief for it’s crown jewel publication, Vanity Fair, succeeding the retiring Graydon Carter. Named to the magazine’s top post is Radhika Jones who comes to the position from the New York Times. At the Times Jones served as editor of its books division.

Prior to her work at the New York Times, Jones was an editor at Time magazine. Her official start date is December 11.

The outgoing Carter held the top post at Vanity Fair for 25 years. He announced his retirement in September.
