First, there’s the matter of the film’s title, Keanu, and the rumor that the film was in fact a parody of John Wick, an action feature starring the human version of Keanu, as in Reeves.
This one, simply titled Keanu, refers to a cat…that has been kidnapped…setting off a war between the cat’s lawful owner (have I really just typed those words?) and a gang.
Yep. How could this movie be anything but a comedy? If you’ve seen the trailer, you’d know there’s no room for doubt. Keanu pulls out all the stops.
The film stars Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key, Method Man, Nia Long and Will Forte. Keanu is directed by Peter Atencio and written by Jordan Peele and Alex Rubens.
Early reviews are promising. RottenTomatoes weighs in with a score of
The film stars 75. Keanu runs 1 hour 40 minutes and is rated R.
