Multiple Oscar winners and nominees among the cast of an already high-concept high-budget action adventure film certainly can’t hurt a picture’s chances either at the box office or come awards season.
Such potential for success looks like a no-brainer when the director at the helm of that film is one Christopher Nolan — himself an Oscar winner and multiple Oscar nominee. Nolan’s latest film, the sci-fi action/adventure movie, Interstellar, stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine.
The stars turned out on the red carpet to help launch their little space flick — then went inside to watch the film on the Chinese Theater’s IMAX system installed specifically for the Hollywood premiere.
Interstellar is rated PG-13 and runs two hours and 49 minutes.
