His latest comedy has been tagged with an R-rating, and Michael Moore is not happy about it.
Where to Invade Next> marks the the irreverent Moore’s latest film lampoon societal ills. In this big screen effort, Moore travel to various countries as an “invader” intent on robbing locals of innovative ideas, then bringing them back to the United States.
The MPAA cited his new film for “for language, some violent images, drug use and brief graphic nudity.” Moore counters by saying none of the scenes the MPAA points too are any more disturbing than what young people can watch on any nightly newscast any day of the week.
Moore is known for such films as Roger & Me,> Bowling for Columbine, and Fahrenheit 451,> for which he won the Oscar for documentary filmmaking.
Where to Invade Next has been making the rounds of film festivals and premieres November 7 at the AFI Fest.
